The School District has experienced a surge in enrollment. As part of their capacity management planning, the District has formed the Facilities and Capacity Management Advisory Committee (FACMAC) to work with District staff and develop short term, intermediate term, and long term solutions. A proposal we previously shared includes the addition of 4 new portables at Thornton Creek Elementary phased over 4 school years and 4 new portables at Bryant Elementary next school year (2012-13). We understand that no decision has been made yet on any of the capacity management proposals.
The District will be holding 3 community meetings to discuss the proposals.
